Meet Maria Glass - Account Director and media savvy mastermind…
One of Canterbury’s foremost client services professionals and media strategists, Maria Glass has moved from OMD (prev. Immediate) to Imagic Creative (our place, you know, on Bealey Ave!). Maria’s known for her extensive work across government, having worked for CERA and advised Environment Canterbury, Regenerate Christchurch, DPMC (Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet), and AgResearch. OK, I need to update my LinkedIn - that’s a really impressive list!
Our founding director, Paul Fairbairn had this to say when cornered in the lunchroom… “Go away; I’m eating… and… Maria has the right mix of emotional and strategic intelligence with the ability to bring the right people together and motivate them to make great campaigns happen.”
Then we trapped Dale, our other director in his office and turned off his music until he gave us a quote… “It’s exciting having someone of Maria's calibre join Imagic. In particular, her experience in media planning will be invaluable to us, and our clients.”
Maria was proud to have been the marketing lead on the Canterbury Earthquake Memorial projects. Let’s take a look at that project right this minute.
“I was part of the team who liaised with families and Christchurch-lead organisations to make decisions on the memorial,” she recalls. “This included managing the marketing campaign behind an international competition held for the Earthquake Memorial design; we consulted with families who lost loved ones, as well as the public at each stage of the project.”
Mother to two teenage girls and a keen tramper, PICTURES OR IT ISN’T TRUE! Maria believes in getting alongside clients; gaining their trust & understanding their business. “I like the idea of ‘making my clients famous’.”
She also owns a business with her husband - CHECK IT OUT! - exporting superfoods such as Manuka honey, green barley grass, apple cider vinegar, flax fibre, and kelp around the world.
